2025 Porsche Cayenne Engine Overview

3.0-Liter Turbocharged V6 Engine

Standard on Cayenne
- Horsepower – 348
- Torque – 368 lb-ft
- 0-60 MPH – 5.4 seconds
- Top Speed – 154 MPH
Equal parts efficient and exhilarating, the standard engine for the Porsche Cayenne is a proven 3.0-liter turbocharged V6. Cranking out a muscular 348 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque, this capable powertrain is poised and ready to perform. Mated to a responsive 8-speed automatic transmission, the Cayenne can rocket from 0 to 60 MPH in just 5.4 seconds (when equipped with the optional Sport Chrono package). In addition to its blistering acceleration, the Cayenne is also capable of towing up to 7,700 lbs (when properly equipped). Whether you’re chasing adventure on the weekends on enjoying an open stretch of highway after a long day at the office, the Porsche Cayenne comes standard with plenty of power to get the most out of every mile.
4.0L Twin-Turbo V8 Engine

Standard on Cayenne S and Cayenne GTS
- Horsepower – 468 or 493
- Torque – 442 lb-ft or 486
- 0-60 MPH – 4.7 seconds or 4.4 seconds
- Top Speed – 170 MPH or 171 MPH
For even more power, the Cayenne comes with a V8 option. This engine comes with two different Cayenne trims, and is tuned differently depending on which one you get. The Cayenne GTS is the more powerful of the two, and although the difference isn’t huge, both offer very noticeably more power than the V6. The Cayenne S makes 468 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque, while the Cayenne GTS comes with 493 horsepower and 486 lb-ft of torque. That extra power is good for a 0-60 times that’s three-tenths of a second quicker, and a top speed that 1 mph faster.
